FOX 5: Montgomery Co. Kid Cop Wants Drivers to ‘Respect the Bus’
From FOX 5 in Washington, DC:
Montgomery County Public Schools want you to “Respect the Bus,” and so does their kid cop. They’re hoping to get the attention of drivers in a new public service announcement.
The school system wants to let drivers know that school busses in Montgomery County are now equipped with video cameras to catch drivers who illegally pass a stopped school bus. The law requires drivers to stop when the school bus’ stop sign is extended, and if you don’t stop, you could get a $125 ticket when the camera snaps a picture of your license plate.
