Elkhart Brass Participates in Pep Rally to Promote “United Against Bullying” Initiative in Local Schools

Elkhart Brass, a Safe Fleet brand, participated in the Elkhart Education Foundation 2015 Community Kick-Off Classic, a community-wide pep rally in Elkhart, Indiana to help welcome students back to school. Elkhart Brass was there to kick-off the “United Against Bullying” program partnership with Elkhart community schools. Students, parents and alumni from 21 different area schools came together on August 15 to show their support. Local city leaders, fire departments, police and members of the National Guard were also in attendance at the rally which was themed “One City. One Mission.”

Those who took part in the event enjoyed activities such as face painting, lip syncing contests and much more. The Elkhart Brass featured activity booth, “Take a Seat & Make a Friend,” was a constructed ball pit designed to bring people together during the rally. The idea was simple: get students, teachers, parents and public safety officials to sit together as a group to ask questions, share common interests and encourage diversity. Those who participated found much in common, created memories and formed friendships as well as a mutual respect for one another. The local area high school marching bands and cheerleaders closed out the event.
